Finance Business Analyst - Lead

Job Description

The Lead Finance Business Analyst Serves as single point-of-contact for end users for specific module(s), functional and/or business area(s). Understands the business function and works with team to define business requirements. Communicates and coordinates with other Business Analysts, business leadership and IT leadership to ensure appropriate integration of processes and modules across Ralcorp. Supports Business community in their use of the JDE financial modules. Perform problem identification & resolution for issues related to specific module(s), functional and business area(s). Provide training to prevent problem reoccurrence and knowledge transfer. Escalate issues to management when appropriate. Collect, analyze, review, document and communicate business needs and requirements to IT. Translate high level business requirements into functional specifications and manage changes to such specifications. Serve as module expert during implementations of ERP software. Perform module configuration and testing following control guidelines Contribute to the overall planning and execution of projects and issue resolution including the development of approaches, identifying resources, and developing time lines. Mentoring and educating other staff members Involved in security/authorization set-up, user documentation, data interface design, data migration and reconciliation Assist IT management and end-users to determine feasibility of potential systems projects Perform special duties/functions which might be assigned by manager Other Duties and Responsibilites: Work under general direction Excellent oral and written communication skills Proven ability to work in a successful team environment Excellent interpersonal skills Good project management skill

Job Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related finance area required. Must possess an understanding of the business function(s)/process(s) supported. 6 - 8 years experience in business area and 4 - 6 years supporting business applications within IT organization required. Excellent knowledge of systems project work and business functionality in ERP applications required. General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable are required Fixed Assets, Cost Accounting and Multi-Currency are a must Job Cost knowledge is preferred Financial system support is mandatory, experience utilizing JDE is required. Working knowledge of systems project work. CPA preferred Familiarity with other JDE modules is preferred Experience using MS Office.
