Job Description
This position will supervise all aspects of Shipping and Receiving for three shifts and two production facilities while ensuring compliance with Company expectations related to Quality, Safety, Productivity, People and Customer Service.
MAIN DUTIES:
- Supervise unionized employees in the shipping and receiving functions, providing leadership and training as required.
- Schedule Shipping and Receiving Team Members to ensure proper staffing in order to receive and ship product in a productive and cost efficient manner.
- Check specification sheets and other written instructions to meet customer requirements.
- Follow up on all assignments and ensure both accuracy and completion.
- Review daily inventory of finished goods against anticipated shipping schedules to minimize handling and maximize customer service.
- Review daily shipment schedule and plan and prioritize daily work schedules to meet customer and Company delivery requirements.
- Develop and coordinate training programs for shipping and receiving employees to ensure a well coordinated staff.
- Provide clear direction to subordinates while confronting substandard performance and recognizing superior performance.
- Investigate and respond to employee complaints and grievances
- Serve as liaison between Corporate Logistics, Operations, and outside distribution centers.
- Maintain all area standards relating to OSHA, AIB, Sanitation and Inventory Control.
- Other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor.
SKILLS COMPETENCIES:
- Demonstrated skills in Continuous Improvement facilitation and results.
- Knowledge of basic shipping and receiving skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, problem solving, decision making, planning, as well as holding others accountable.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written), computer, and influence skills.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities concurrently without losing efficiency.
- Superior Customer Service skills.
- Thorough understanding of GMPs.

Job Qualifications
EDUCATION:
- High school diploma required. Some college strongly preferred.
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum three years experience in food manufacturing environment.
