Sales & Marketing Analyst - Downers Grove, IL

This position is responsible for providing analytical and operations support to the Foodservice Sales and Marketing groups with key focus on forecast and reporting, price list maintenance, and support of Product Managers.

MAIN DUTIES:
• Support Forecast and S&OP Process
  • Perform forecast accuracy analysis and work with Sales & Supply Chain to improve item/DC forecasts.
  • Work with Field Sales to forecast at Item/Customer level.
  • Support the training and education of the Sales and Marketing teams.
  • Superuser of Futurion forecast system and work with IT analysts to ensure silent running.
• Foodservice Reporting and Analysis
  • Support implementation of KPI reporting in Foodservice Marketing and Sales functions.
  • Publish monthly KPI package with Executive Summaries as developed from KPI Project.
  • Publish monthly Sales reports for Foodservice and McDonald’s channels (actuals vs. budget and forecast).
  • Create and maintain Distributor Review deck for Regional Sales Managers prior to customer visits.
  • Perform Value-added analysis to reduce burden on Sales and Marketing Managers (Pull Ralcorp data for bids, build complex reports as required, analysis of Buying Groups).
• Maintain Systems Integrity
  • Develop and maintain system audit reports (Futurion, Product Sales Cube, and Discovery) to identify and correct attribute errors.
  • Make system changes to correct attribute issues ensuring integrity of reporting systems and accurate commission payments to brokers.
  • Ensure New Customers are correctly setup by DRM Analyst and IT Admin.
  • Perform weekly process to link Dot Foods customers/items in Ralcorp systems.
• Marketing Administration
  • Maintain Price Lists for Foodservice organization
    • Addition/Removal of SKUs.
    • Price changes from Product Managers.
    • Coordinate special pricing for Sysco and Dot Foods with Customer Service.
  • Item Setup and Discontinuance
    • Champion item setup process for Foodservice group, ensure deadlines are met as required by Sales and Marketing.
    • Provide Supply Chain with required documentation for discontinuance.
    • Coordinate Item discontinuance with Marketing Communication Manager.
    • Ensure discontinued items are removed from forecast or moved to replacement SKUs.
  • Right Start Administrator
    • Enter Right Start information into SalesForce.com as required by Sales or Marketing.
    • Assign Right Start numbers to new projects and track progress.
    • Ensure maintenance of Right Start database on SalesForce.com (status updates, cancellations, etc.) to support KPI reporting.
• Other Duties
  • Liaison to Supply Chain ensuring supply availability/reliability for new products, handle urgent supply issues.
  • POS Fulfillment working with IMT vendor to coordinate fulfillment for new products, promotions, etc.
  • Dot Foods Contact answering product, supply questions for customer, and confirm product availability for sales.
  • Other projects as assigned by supervisor.
SKILLS/COMPETENCIES:
• Team Player.
• Excellent skills using MS business applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in sales reporting, Futurion, and SalesForce.com.
• Good verbal, written, and presentation skills.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and expedite.
• Self-starter and problem solver possessing an analytical mindset.

EDUCATION:
• B.S. in Marketing, Finance, or Business preferred.

EXPERIENCE:
• 2+ year’s prior experience as analyst in corporate role.
• Experience in Retail, Foodservice, or CPG industry.
• Experience working with various levels of Sales and Marketing teams.
• Experience working on cross-functional teams and projects.
